The Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Community Garden Committee has been looking for spaces around the area for community gardens.  They write -- “it looks like our first community garden will be in Hermon Park in the Arroyo Seco (an area near the back tennis courts).  We have a tentative ‘OK’ from Rec and Parks and from our Councilman, Jose Huizar.   So, now we're in the planning stage of physically laying out what the garden might look like, with the understanding that this is a design in process and will evolve over time.”

 

This meeting is open to everyone who is interested in starting a community garden, or being part of one.  It will also be a good way to help assess the local community’s interest level.  It would be ideal if you are from Hermon to attend the meeting and be in on the initial planning of our new Hermon Community Garden!
